Clinical Psychologist Professional Fees 2026

The Garden Clinic fee structure is below the Australian Psychological Society's (APS) national recommended fee schedule in place for 2025-2026 to maintain fees at our current rate for 2026.

A referral is not needed to make an appointment, however if you would like to receive Medicare rebates you will need a Mental Health Treatment Plan from your GP, Psychiatrist, or Paediatrician. The Medicare rebate for a standard Clinical Psychologist appointment is $145.25. There is an out-of-pocket gap between the rebate and the full session fee.

After hours (6pm onwards and weekend) appointments incur a higher fee.

Payment must be made on the day of the session and can be made by cash, bank transfer, credit card (fees apply) or direct deposit. 

Clients may attend the clinic without a Mental Health Treatment Plan however full fees apply. Depending on your level of cover, you may be eligible to claim psychological services from your Private Health Fund. To claim a rebate you need to ensure that you are covered by ancillary benefits insurance (extras). The rebate you will receive will be based on your level of cover.
