Nicole Rowan

Nicole offers in person and telehealth appointments is a Board-Approved Supervisor and offers supervision for early career psychologist, clinical registrars working towards endorsement and general psychologists.

Prior to working solely in private practice, Nicole had over 11 years experience across both public and private mental health services working with adults, children, adolescents and their families.

Nicole specialises in supporting clients through periods of major life transitions and significant life events along with relationship and interpersonal issues. This includes working with people who have experienced trauma, both earlier in life and recent. 

Nicole also has a strong interest in attachment theory and perinatal psychology. She employs relational and attachment-based therapies in her practice, to help clients in understanding how their past relationships may impact on their current ones. Incorporating a range of evidence-based interventions including trauma informed attachment-based therapy and Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Nicole has a warm and relaxed style, placing value on creating a strong therapeutic relationship. Her therapeutic style uses curiosity, openness, humour and empathy to help clients feel comfortable and focuses on helping individuals to develop a healthy sense of self.
